Welcome to the Photo Web Home of  Arkady Mitnik.

Former USSR, Israel, The Netherlands…  Moving from country to country,  combining my favorite life style of music photography with electrical  engineering profession, at some point I have decided to switch to what I like most  – observing life and nature, taking and making photos.

Makes sense to mention that I speak English, Hebrew, Russian, Ukrainian and Dutch.

My Services

So, what am I doing, and what you may hire me for?

Having many years of practical experience in variety of photo fields, I am specialized in Music- , Street- , Event- and Landscape photography.  Furthermore, I run my own Darkroom, where I develop “old-style” analogue B&W films, and print photos on a “real” paper.

If you are excited to develop your own film, rent analogue camera, or print b&w photos as we used to do it before, come over the the south of Amsterdam, and have fun to work with my top Dark Room equipment.

Furthermore, I really enjoy teaching and coaching less experienced photographers to develop their skills and show then methods of improving the quality  of their photos.

I have developed several  workshops and courses including “Music Photography for advanced“, “Dark Room for beginners“, “Digital Photography for beginners“, but of course can design tailor-made trainings to meet needs of other photographers.

The Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine, Azerbaijan – here is the list of countries where I had privilege to  expose my works at several personal- and joined Photo Exhibitions.

The very first photo exhibition, Kiev, former USSR. Organized by the Kiev Jazz Club in 1987 with, believe or not, support of the regional office of communist party 🙂

Pretty naïve "student" photos with portraits of Vladimir Chekasin (sax), Pat Metheny (guitars) and his band, Archangelsk Group, and others.

This exhibition took place in 2016 at the location of the Dutch P60 Music club in Amstelveen, suburb or Amsterdam.

at Zadymka 2016

Taking part in exhibition of many great Polish Jazz photographers including Henryk Malesa, Jarek Rerich, Basia , Daro Dudziak, Artur Strak, M.  Mochles, Dorota Koperska and others.

Co-exhibition with Jarek Rerich

50/50 Jazz Exhibition with a good friend of mine Jarek, that took place in Kalish, Poland, during the International Kalish Piano Festival. Proposed and organized by another great friend from Poland, Henryk Malesa.

Supported by Baku Jazz Festival and its main sponsor A+A of Rauf Aliev, this exhibition took place during the Baku Jazz festival 2016.

Very special to my heart non-jazzy exhibition, that took place in Ukraine, and then moved to The Netherlands. About 40 very "moody" photos primarily from the surrounding or Amsterdam.

WORKSHOP "Concert Photography"

My favorite Workshop, provided several times to advanced photographers in The Netherlands.

Second exhibition "Solitude" in Kiev, Ukraine, 2017

Hope to see some more exhibitions and workshops coming soon.

…was initiated by Arkady Mitnik at the beginning of 2017. An idea was to gives stage to different styles of World music including Jazz, Folk, Ethnic and classic.
